시간이 말해 주는 진실

우리는 살아가면서 때로 억울한 일을 겪습니다.

그리고 그 억울함 앞에서 사람들은 흔히 이렇게 기대합니다.

“누군가가 솔로몬의 지혜로 진실을 바로 밝혀 주기를…”

하지만 현실의 법정과 세상은 안타깝게도 단순히 ‘억울해 보인다’는 이유만으로 움직이지 않습니다.

무엇이 진실인가보다, 그것을 어떻게 증명하느냐가 더 중요하게 다루어질 때가 많습니다.

그래서 때로는 설명하지 못하는 사람이 오해를 받고, 억울한 사람이 오히려 더 불리해 보이기도 합니다. 마치 먼저 상처받은 사람이 자신의 결백까지 스스로 증명해야 하는 듯한 현실이 펼쳐지기도 합니다.

그럴 때 사람은 묻게 됩니다.

“과연 이 억울함을 누가 알아줄까?”

그러나 신앙 안에서 우리가 끝내 붙들어야 하는 것은, 하느님께서는 모든 것을 알고 계신다는 믿음입니다.

사람의 판단은 순간에 머물 수 있지만, 하느님의 시선은 시간 넘어까지 바라보시기 때문입니다.

“주님께서는 의인의 길을 아시고, 악인의 길은 멸망에 이르리라.”

— 시편 1,6

세상에서는 누구나 자신의 말과 논리로 스스로를 포장할 수 있습니다.

때로는 거짓이 더 크게 들리고, 진실은 오히려 조용히 묻히기도 합니다.

그러나 시간이 흐르면 삶의 열매가 드러나고, 말보다 살아온 흔적이 결국 진실을 증언하게 됩니다.

그래서 우리는 조급하게 모든 것을 당장 인정받으려 하기보다, 끝까지 바르게 살아가는 용기를 잃지 말아야 합니다.

사람의 판단은 늦을 수 있어도, 진실 자체가 사라지는 것은 아니기 때문입니다.

진실은 때로 늦게 드러나지만, 끝내 사라지지는 않습니다.

그리고 그 시간을 가장 깊이 알고 계시는 분이 바로 하느님이십니다.

The Truth That Time Reveals

As we go through life, there are times when we experience deep unfairness.

And in those moments, people often hope for this:

“That someone, with the wisdom of Solomon, will reveal the truth clearly.”

Yet the reality of courts and the world does not move simply because something seems unfair.

More often, the issue is not only what is true, but how that truth can be proven.

As a result, those who struggle to explain themselves may be misunderstood, and the wounded person may appear to be at a disadvantage. At times, it even feels as though the one who was hurt must personally prove their innocence.

In such moments, we ask:

“Who will truly understand this injustice?”

But within faith, what we must ultimately hold onto is the belief that God already knows.

Human judgment may remain bound to the moment, but God sees beyond time itself.

“The Lord watches over the way of the righteous,

but the way of the wicked leads to ruin.”

— Psalm 1:6

In this world, anyone can dress themselves in convincing words and logic.

Sometimes falsehood speaks louder, while truth quietly fades into the background.

Yet as time passes, the fruits of one’s life are revealed, and a person’s lived path eventually speaks louder than words.

Therefore, rather than desperately seeking immediate recognition, we must not lose the courage to continue living rightly.

Human judgment may be delayed, but truth itself does not disappear.

Truth may reveal itself slowly, but it is never truly lost.

And the One who knows that truth most deeply is God.
